Data tracking gives a clear view of user engagement and marketing results

I’ve been diving deep into our app’s analytics lately. The insights are pretty eye-opening.

Seeing exactly how users interact with features and which marketing channels drive the most valuable installs.

Curious how others are leveraging their data to make decisions. What metrics do you find most actionable?

Retention rate tells me everything I need to know.

I watch session length and feature usage closely. Shows what keeps people engaged.

For marketing, click-through and conversion rates on ads guide my spend. I tweak copy and visuals based on what performs.

Ultimately, it’s about connecting data to real user behavior and business goals. No single metric tells the whole story.

Been there, done that. Here’s what I’ve found works:

Funnel conversion rate. Shows where users drop off. We tweaked our onboarding and saw signups jump 20%.

Daily active users (DAU) to monthly active users (MAU) ratio. Tells you if people actually stick around. Aim for 50%+.

Revenue per mille (RPM) for ad-based apps. Helps optimize ad placements without killing the user experience.

Viral coefficient for social apps. If it’s over 1, you’re golden.

Don’t forget qualitative data. User feedback explains the ‘why’ behind your numbers.

Mix it up and test often. What works changes fast in this game.

User acquisition cost is big for us. Shows which channels work best. We adjust spending based on that.

Retention’s important, but I focus on lifetime value (LTV) to CAC ratio. It shows if you’re actually making money.

Track how much users spend over time vs. what you paid to get them. Aim for 3:1 or higher.

Break it down by channel, cohort, and feature usage. You’ll see where to double down and what to cut.

Don’t get caught up in vanity metrics. Revenue per user and payback period are what matter for growth.
