Which customer analysis software balances depth with accessibility?

Been through a few different analytics tools and they’re either too basic or way too complex for my team to actually use.

Looking for something that gives solid insights without needing a data science degree to interpret the results.

PostHog is good for product analytics and user tracking. The interface is simple but lets you create complex funnels and track retention clearly.

I like seeing real user sessions alongside the data. Watching people use your app helps you understand the numbers better.

Amplitude gets messy once you start adding events. For mobile apps, go with Mixpanel or PostHog instead. They track user actions without drowning your team in clutter. Pick something your team will actually use. If it takes more than 30 minutes to learn, it’s too complicated. Most teams overthink this stuff. Start simple with basic funnels and retention tracking.

Google Analytics 4 is pretty solid now. Free and the interface got better recently.

Mixpanel hits the sweet spot. Clean interface that anyone can use for basic reports, but you can dig deeper when needed.

I’ve used it on three different apps. The retention cohorts and funnel analysis work great without being confusing. Takes about a day to train someone new.

Amplitude’s decent too but gets messy once you add custom events. Mixpanel stays simple while giving you the data you need.

Hotjar works. Basic heatmaps and user recordings that make sense.
