Been digging into different analytics frameworks for our app but keep hitting the same wall.
Either they’re too complex for the team to actually use or too basic to give actionable insights.
What frameworks have you found that actually strike the right balance between being comprehensive and accessible for non-technical team members?
I’ve used Amplitude for two apps and it nails what you’re looking for.
The behavioral cohorts let you dive deep without SQL. Product teams can build funnels and spot drop-off points just by clicking.
Pathfinder sold me - it shows real user journeys through your app. Non-tech people get it instantly when they see those visual paths.
It gets expensive after the free tier though. But if you want insights your whole team can actually use, it’s worth the cost.
GA4 works fine once you’ve got the events configured properly. Most folks already know their way around it.

Look into Mixpanel. It balances usability and insights.
PostHog’s perfect for this. Session recordings show exactly what users are doing, and heatmaps reveal where they’re clicking and scrolling. The funnel builder’s super straightforward - anyone can use it. Best part? When data looks weird, you can watch actual user sessions instead of guessing why conversions tanked. Plus self-hosting keeps costs reasonable when you scale.
Firebase Analytics nails the basics and links straight to your marketing campaigns.
The audience builder’s dead simple. You can segment users without any tech headaches. Plus you’ll see which campaigns actually bring converting users.
I throw Hotjar on top for web stuff. Together they give you the numbers and show you why users do what they do.
