A/B testing price points seems impossible with App Store review times. How is anyone getting clean data on what price actually converts best?

Submitting for review every time I want to test a new price point takes too long.

By the time it goes live, market conditions shift and I can’t figure out if changes in performance are due to the price or other factors.

Is there a more efficient method to gather accurate pricing data?

We test landing page prices before users download. Same flow, just earlier in the funnel.

I test different prices across acquisition channels instead. Google Ads traffic gets one price, Facebook gets another, and ASO users see the base price.

You get pricing data without touching the App Store. Takes about a week to spot patterns if you’ve got decent volume.

The tricky bit is making sure your traffic sources are similar enough - you want differences from price, not user quality. I check day 1 engagement to verify this.

Once I find a winner, I submit the store update. Still takes time but you’re getting real conversion data while you wait.

Skip the app store for price testing - use your paywall instead. Run server-side experiments showing different prices to user segments inside your app. No review process, no waiting around. Give it 2-3 weeks minimum so you catch weekday patterns and hit statistical significance. Track conversion rates and revenue per user, not downloads. Find your winner, then update the app store price. Way faster iteration and much cleaner data.

Just raise prices 20% and see what happens
