AI funnel generators – are they just fancy templates or do they actually analyze anything?

Been looking at these AI funnel tools that promise to build optimized funnels for your app or product.

Most seem like glorified template libraries with some basic personalization. Are any actually running analysis on conversion patterns or user behavior?

Feels like marketing fluff but maybe I’m missing something.

They’re just templates with decent copy. The real AI tools that actually analyze data cost thousands and need months of user behavior to work properly. You want something that pulls data from your current funnel and spots where people drop off. Most AI tools can’t access that data or don’t know what to do with it. You’re better off manually testing variations on proven funnels than using these generators.

Most just recycle old ideas for sure

I’ve tested several of these tools on gaming apps. One actually delivered solid insights from similar apps - showed me how onboarding flows convert differently for puzzle games versus action games.

Most just swap generic copy and call it analysis though. The decent ones cost more and you need to feed them your actual user data first.

Now I just run AI suggestions against my current funnel performance. If it suggests something I haven’t tested, I’ll A/B test it. They sometimes catch obvious stuff I missed.

The analysis is mostly BS. Real value is getting funnel ideas faster than starting from zero.

The ones I’ve tried just pull conversion benchmarks from their database - that’s it. They match your app category to stored patterns and tweak headlines and button copy.

Real analysis means connecting to your actual traffic data to see where users drop off. Most can’t do that integration or they charge extra.

I use them as a quick way to get something live, then optimize based on real user behavior once traffic hits.

We tested a few for our app launches. They grab conversion data, but honestly, you can get the same info with basic testing yourself.
