Been testing both on our content app and the results are all over the place.

Hard paywall converts higher but impacts organic growth. Metered allows sharing but conversion rates drop.

Metered works better for me long-term - users get hooked first, then pay.

I give 3-5 free articles monthly and let them hit the wall naturally. Your content needs to be good enough that they actually want more.
