How do you turn complex product usage data into something executives actually care about and use for decisions?

Been pulling together usage reports for months but leadership just glazes over when I present the data.

They want insights they can actually act on, not dashboards full of metrics. What’s worked for you when translating user behavior into executive-friendly recommendations?

Just tell them what users stopped doing and why.

Track three numbers that actually make money. Show which features get users to upgrade, what behaviors signal someone’s about to churn in the next 30 days, and where people bail in your funnel. Don’t waste time on vanity metrics. Instead of ‘engagement’s up 12%’ say ‘users finishing onboarding convert 3x better - here’s how we push more people through.’ Every metric should tie directly to cash in or cash out.
