Been diving into product-market fit metrics lately. Wondering how others apply these to optimize mobile funnel conversions.
Have you found specific PMF indicators that correlate with better funnel performance? Or ways to translate PMF insights into actionable funnel tweaks?
I focus on retention rates and feature usage. If certain features keep users around longer, I highlight those in the funnel.
Surveys help too. Ask churned users why they left. Their feedback often points to conversion blockers you can fix.
Test different funnel layouts. Sometimes moving things around boosts conversions more than you’d expect.
Look at what features people use most. Put those front and center in your funnel. Test different layouts too. Sometimes small tweaks make a big difference.
Just track what users do. Tweak stuff they use a lot.
I’ve seen retention rates and NPS scores track closely with funnel performance. High retention means you’re delivering value, which should boost conversions.
Focus on the ‘must-have’ features driving retention. Highlight those early in your funnel. If users stick around for a specific tool, make sure it’s front and center.
For NPS, dig into promoter feedback. What do they love? Emphasize those elements in your messaging and onboarding flow.
Low scores? Fix those pain points before driving more traffic. No point optimizing a leaky funnel.
PMF metrics have been huge for our app’s funnel performance. We look at user engagement patterns - which features get the most use in the first week.
For our workout app, we saw users who tracked 3+ workouts in week 1 were way more likely to convert. So we tweaked the funnel to push users towards that 3-workout goal early on.
We also survey churned users. Their feedback helped us spot a confusing UI element that was killing conversions. Fixed that, saw an immediate lift.
One caveat - don’t get caught up in perfect metrics. Sometimes you gotta trust your gut and just test stuff. We once ignored a ‘low-scoring’ feature that ended up being our best converter when we finally tried it.
