My AI-generated funnel feels kinda... generic. What's your secret for injecting personality and brand voice into an AI-built funnel?

Built my first funnel with AI tools and it works but feels super bland. Copy sounds like every other SaaS out there.

How do you folks make AI-generated funnels actually sound like your brand instead of generic marketing speak?

I write the first draft myself and have AI expand or rewrite sections to match my style.

I give it the skeleton with my actual voice and let it fill the gaps. This is much easier than teaching AI your brand voice from scratch.

Include specific phrases that your customers use when describing their problems too.

Start by feeding the AI your best content like emails, social posts, and customer calls where your voice is clear. Also, provide a ‘don’t use’ list. For example, I tell mine to avoid words like ‘revolutionary’ or ‘game-changing.’ This helps cut out the bland marketing lingo. After that, run everything through a second prompt to refine the tone. This approach is much more effective than trying to get it right on the first try.

Same issue here with a gaming app funnel. The AI copy was accurate but sounded robotic as hell.

Here’s what fixed it for me: I made a “voice reference sheet” first. Grabbed real customer reviews, support chats, even complaints. Then I told the AI to write like my actual customers, not some marketing textbook.

I also got super specific with constraints. Instead of “make it casual,” I’d say “write like you’re telling a friend over coffee - use contractions, max 15 words per sentence.”

Biggest game-changer? I rewrote the AI’s output in my own voice first, then fed those examples back to train it better. More work upfront but saves tons of time later.

Alex Cattoni breaks down brand voice perfectly - applies to AI prompting too:

Once you nail the voice, your funnels will feel way more authentic.

We just run the AI copy through our regular approval process. Same edits we’d make to any contractor’s work.

Just copy paste your actual customer emails into the prompts.
